Justin Bieber Seen Relaxing in Seoul Amid Fallout With Ex-Pastor Carl Lentz
The singer was pictured enjoying a cigar in South Korea as his former pastor, Carl Lentz, discussed their strained relationship in a new book.
Justin Bieber was photographed enjoying a cigar while on a trip to Seoul, South Korea, with his wife, Hailey Bieber. This appearance comes as their former pastor, Carl Lentz, has publicly discussed their falling out and claimed the singer "brutally turned his back" on him.
Photos from the Seoul trip show Bieber reclining and smoking a cigar, appearing relaxed alongside friends and his wife. He was also seen holding a paper cup during the outing.
The images surfaced following revelations from Lentz's new book, "Overcoming Infidelity: 10 Conversations to Help You Heal the Hurt." In the book, Lentz recounts how he and his family were allegedly asked to leave the Biebers' New York City apartment on short notice in November 2020, shortly after Lentz was fired from Hillsong Church due to "moral failures" and "breaches of trust."
According to Lentz, Justin and Hailey had initially offered their apartment for the Lentz family to use for an extended period. However, after news of Lentz's infidelity broke, a representative for Bieber reportedly contacted the Lentz family, stating they needed to vacate the premises within 24 hours. Lentz described the experience as a "kick to the ribs" while he was already dealing with the aftermath of his scandal.
In his writing, Lentz expressed remorse, acknowledging that his actions placed the Biebers in a difficult and unwanted public situation. He also noted that while he felt devastated for his family, he understood that he had put Justin in a "precarious place."
While Bieber has not publicly commented on Lentz's cheating scandal, he and Hailey unfollowed the Lentz family on social media in 2020. The friendship between Bieber and Lentz dated back to 2008, and Lentz even performed Bieber's baptism in 2015. Bieber had also briefly lived with the Lentz family in New Jersey in 2014.
