Pop star Justin Bieber made an unexpected appearance at the Duke of Marlborough Hotel in Russell, New Zealand, surprising patrons with an impromptu piano performance. The 32-year-old singer visited the establishment on Thursday afternoon.
Bieber, accompanied by seven companions, reportedly began playing the hotel's red baby grand piano after noticing it. Hotel co-owner Anton Haagh told RNZ that the performance was instrumental, featuring modern music without vocals. While many patrons were initially unaware of the performer's identity, a handful recognized the celebrity.
Bieber and his group ordered seafood and drinks before departing. Following the surprise performance, staff encouraged those who recognized him to allow him to enjoy his afternoon undisturbed. News of his visit spread, leading to a crowd of approximately 30 to 40 people arriving after his departure.
The singer later shared a photograph of his piano performance on social media on Sunday, documenting his experience in New Zealand.
