Jussie Smollett has declined to comment on his relationship status with "Queer Eye" star Karamo Brown, just days after the two were photographed sharing a kiss at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

Smollett, 44, was seen having lunch with a friend in Los Angeles on Wednesday. When asked by reporters about his connection to Brown, 45, Smollett cryptically responded, "It's all love," before getting into his SUV.

The public encounters between Smollett and Brown come shortly after TMZ reported that Smollett had ended his engagement to his fiancé, Jabari Redd, earlier in June. Smollett and Redd had reportedly been dating since 2022.

Brown, however, has previously spoken enthusiastically about a new relationship. In an interview with "Reality with The King," he stated he was "100-percent sure" his then-unnamed boyfriend was "the one" and his "forever person." He described the relationship as easy and filled with constant laughter and love.

Karamo Brown explained his new relationship was easy and filled with constant laughter and love.

Smollett's conviction in 2021 for filing a false police report about a staged hate crime in 2019 was overturned in March 2024 by the Illinois Supreme Court. The court ruled that Smollett's Fifth Amendment rights were violated because he accepted a plea deal under which prosecutors agreed not to charge him further. He had been required to perform community service and pay a fine as part of that deal.

Earlier this year, Brown also made headlines due to a rift with his "Queer Eye" castmates, which he attributed in part to comments made about him that his mother overheard, leading him to feel like an outsider.
