Juror's Attorneys Plan Bar Complaint Against Lindsay Clancy's Lawyer

Attorneys for Michael Desronvil, the sole juror who did not vote to acquit Lindsay Clancy in her triple murder trial, announced plans to file a bar complaint against Clancy’s defense attorney, Kevin Reddington. The complaint alleges that Reddington improperly singled out Desronvil when he asked a judge to investigate the juror for potential misconduct.

Reddington had asked the judge to investigate Desronvil for issues including potential lying on a juror questionnaire and using his cell phone during deliberations. Desronvil's legal team claims Reddington's actions were unprecedented and an improper way to target a juror.

"You don’t attack jurors this way, you don’t single them out," said Tyler Cox, one of Desronvil's attorneys, in remarks to Fox News. Cox stated that Reddington's motion, even if taken at face value, was "unprecedented."

During a recent hearing, Reddington denied wrongdoing, stating, "I’m tired of hearing about me persecuting people." Prosecutors have requested a gag order against Reddington due to his public comments about the jury and Desronvil. A hearing on that motion is scheduled for Nov. 2.

Clancy's trial ended in a mistrial on September 4, after jurors indicated they were deadlocked. Reports from other jurors suggested that 11 out of 12 were prepared to find Clancy not guilty by reason of insanity, believing Desronvil had doubts about her guilt. However, Desronvil and his attorneys maintain that he was convinced of Clancy's guilt and had no doubts.

Clancy is accused of murdering her three children, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months, in their Duxbury, Massachusetts, home on January 24, 2023. Her defense team argued she was suffering from severe postpartum psychosis at the time of the killings. Clancy also attempted suicide after the deaths of her children.
