Julianne Hough Wears Mariah Carey's Vintage Dress for DWTS Tribute
The "Dancing with the Stars" host donned a sparkling Roberto Cavalli gown previously worn by the singer.
Julianne Hough honored Mariah Carey on "Dancing with the Stars" by wearing one of the music icon's vintage dresses. Hough, who hosted the show's tribute night, chose a silver, skin-tight Roberto Cavalli minidress with a plunging neckline and cutout back.
The dress was originally worn by Carey in 2008 during a performance at the Time 100 Most Influential People Gala in New York City. Hough shared the story of her outfit on Instagram prior to the show, noting that the dress was found on the resale site The RealReal. Hough's stylist, Brad Goreski, also posted about their find.
Hough mentioned that the dress had also been worn by Gisele Bündchen on the September 2007 cover of Vanity Fair. The inspiration from Bündchen's cover look extended to Hough's hairstyle for the evening, as she sported long blond waves.
During the "Dancing with the Stars" episode, contestants danced to songs from Carey's catalog. Ultimately, Ciara Miller was eliminated from the competition on the tribute night.
