Julianne Hough recently shared highlights from a girls' trip to Sardinia, Italy, posting photos of her travels that included scenic beaches and local villages. The 38-year-old co-host of "Dancing with the Stars" documented her experiences on Instagram, showcasing moments of both adventure and relaxation.

During her time in Sardinia, Hough shared images of herself in various bikini ensembles. One photo featured her lounging on a beach chair in a white string bikini, accessorized with black sunglasses and a white headscarf. In another, she was seen in a dark string bikini overlooking the coast, paired with a wrap skirt. Hough also posted a picture of herself practicing yoga on a wooden deck with a sea view.

Beyond beachwear, Hough also shared a photo of herself in a strapless coral pink gown while posing on a picturesque street lined with stone buildings. The ensemble included a fitted bodice, a voluminous skirt, a gold necklace, and strappy heels.

Hough used her trip to reflect on her life and career. She expressed gratitude for the slower pace of life she experienced, contrasting it with her own ambition. "I love my work and my ambition, but when I'm older, I'd rather be the grandmother with stories to tell than wonder if I hustled more than I lived," she wrote in an Instagram post. She also shared her appreciation for the local Sardinian culture and the "nonnas" of the island, noting their sense of having lived fully.

This getaway comes as Hough prepares for another season of "Dancing with the Stars." She joined the show as a professional dancer in 2007 and has since taken on roles as a judge and co-host. Earlier this year, Hough commented on the show's enduring popularity, attributing its success to its authenticity and focus on the contestants' growth and transformation.
