Julia Koch, the second-richest woman in America, is reportedly developing a family compound in the Hamptons, involving significant renovations to multiple properties on Southampton's exclusive Meadow Lane.

Koch, whose net worth is estimated at $81.2 billion, has acquired three properties on the renowned "Billionaire's Lane." In addition to two existing homes, she purchased another adjacent plot for $33.5 million within the past year. The aim is to create a compound for her three children.

Sources indicate that substantial investments are being made in updating the properties, particularly a home acquired in 2022 for $75 million. This Tudor-style residence, described as a "fixer-upper" with 22,000 square feet, 15 bedrooms, and 500 feet of beachfront, is undergoing extensive renovations to modernize its features. A neighbor noted that the home had previously fallen into disrepair, with restoration plans potentially spanning several years.

Koch also owns an $18 million mansion on Meadow Lane, an area known for its high-profile residents, including Calvin Klein and Robert Kraft. This recent real estate activity follows a pattern of significant home improvement projects for Koch, who previously enlisted designer Peter Marino for renovations on her Upper East Side townhouse and was recognized in 2008 for landmark rehabilitation work on a Palm Beach property.

Koch maintains a private public profile. She was last seen at social events in the summer of 2023, marking her first public appearances since the passing of her husband, David Koch, in August 2019.
