Television presenter Julia Bradbury is reportedly facing significant financial difficulties, with her company, Matron Productions, entering liquidation and owing £425,671. Much of this debt is attributed to unpaid taxes and fines, according to reports.
This financial blow comes after Bradbury's public battle with breast cancer. At age 51, she was diagnosed with a six-centimeter tumor on her left breast. She underwent a mastectomy with immediate breast reconstruction, surgery to remove the tumor, and chemotherapy. Bradbury has been in remission since 2021.
The financial challenges have prompted Bradbury to re-evaluate her lifestyle. In previous interviews, she has spoken about the impact of her diagnosis on her finances and her need to reinvent herself. She has emphasized a shift towards healthier living, including dietary changes and a focus on exercise and sleep, to ensure her long-term well-being and presence in her children's lives.
Bradbury has also become an advocate for genetic testing, specifically polygenic risk score (PRS) and SNP testing, for breast cancer risk assessment, urging for its availability on the NHS. She revealed that taking such a test herself, under medical guidance, helped her understand her personal risk of developing breast cancer or its recurrence.
