Judge William Sullivan has denied a motion by attorney Kevin Reddington to dismiss the murder charges against Lindsay Clancy, who is accused of killing her three young children. This marks the fourth attempt by Clancy's legal team to have the charges thrown out following a mistrial in September.

Reddington argued that the evidence presented during the six-week trial was insufficient to support the first-degree murder charges. Prosecutors alleged that Clancy strangled her children, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months, in their Duxbury, Massachusetts, home on January 24, 2023. The defense had sought a verdict of not guilty by reason of insanity, contending that Clancy was suffering from postpartum psychosis and acted on a command she heard.

In a ruling on Thursday, Sullivan stated that prosecutors had provided adequate evidence of Clancy's alleged crimes, preventing him from dismissing the charges.

The case previously ended in a mistrial on September 4, after a single juror held out against conviction. Following the mistrial, Reddington had made further attempts to have the charges dismissed.
