A judge in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial indicated Friday that he would declare a mistrial, but granted the defense one hour to file an appeal.
The jury informed the court of its inability to reach a unanimous decision. Judge Sullivan read the foreperson’s note aloud, stating, "It is with a heavy heart that we report we are unable to come to a unanimous decision and will not be able to."
Clancy is accused of killing her three children in August 2022. The defense has argued that Clancy suffered from postpartum psychosis at the time of the incident.
