Actor Jude Law and his wife, psychologist Phillipa Coan, are undertaking significant renovations at their London home, with planning documents revealing a dedicated living space for their children's nanny. The couple purchased the property for £7.25 million in 2022.
Plans submitted to the local authority detail the construction of a new extension that will feature a playroom, a homework area, and a children's garden. A separate cottage on the property is also slated for renovation, including a ground-floor gym and steam room. Crucially, the upstairs of the cottage is designated for a "nanny bed" and "nanny living room," spanning nearly 500 square feet.
Law, 53, who has seven children from previous relationships, has spoken about embracing middle age. He and Coan, 41, are also seeking permission to install new gates with an integrated package drop-off compartment at the property, which is located a significant drive from Law's former North London residences. The couple also plan to incorporate a "sun garden" and a "sun terrace" into the grounds.
Law's past relationships have included public scrutiny, notably his engagement to Sienna Miller. During their relationship in the mid-2000s, details emerged of an affair between Law and a nanny who accompanied him and his children on a trip to America.
