Joy Behar Dislocates Shoulder in Backstage Accident

Joy Behar, a co-host on ABC's "The View," missed Thursday's broadcast after sustaining a dislocated shoulder from a backstage accident. The 83-year-old reportedly caught her heel backstage, leading to her fall and subsequent injury.

Fellow co-host Sunny Hostin shared an update on Behar's condition during Thursday's show. "Unfortunately, our dear friend Joy dislocated her shoulder," Hostin told the audience. "She's recovering and will be back soon."

Behar has been a regular on "The View" for nearly three decades, with an initial run from 1997 to 2013, followed by her return in 2015. The program has not indicated any change in her expected return to the panel.

During Behar's absence, the show's panel included co-hosts Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, and Alyssa Farah Griffin. Whoopi Goldberg, who typically moderates, was also absent as she is filming a Netflix comedy-drama titled "Women Like Us." Sherri Shepherd, a former co-host, joined the panel as a guest.

Fellow cohost Sunny Hostin - who is also filling in as moderator in Whoopi Goldberg's absence - was joined on the panel by fellow co-hosts Sara Haines, 49, Ana Navarro, 54, and Alyssa Farah Griffin, 37, and guest host Sherri Shepherd, who left the show in 2014
