Josie Gibson recently displayed her surgically reduced arms and celebrated a 2.5 stone weight loss in a social media post. The former Big Brother star, 41, shared a photograph on Wednesday wearing a form-fitting black jumpsuit, highlighting her recent transformation.

Gibson has undergone liposuction on her arms, a procedure she described as "the best thing she ever did." This intervention was prompted by a diagnosis of lipoedema, a condition she stated made it "heartbreaking" to learn about after years of disliking her appearance. The procedure cost approximately £7,000.

Addressing Weight Loss Speculation

Gibson has also responded to claims that she used weight loss injections to achieve her weight loss. She asserted that a significant portion of her weight reduction is attributable to her demanding schedule as a working mother. "How about single mum running around the country, trying to hold down a career and sort a house build, while trying to do everything else as well, including the cleaning – how about that?" she commented on the speculation.

She raised concerns about the potential side effects of such injections, referencing reports of increased hair loss linked to certain weight loss treatments. "People are losing their frickin' hair, and what happens to your digestive system?" she questioned.

Lipoedema Diagnosis and Treatment

Reflecting on her lipoedema diagnosis, Gibson stated it was a "light-bulb moment" when she was informed that the condition could not be overcome through exercise alone. Lipoedema is characterized by the abnormal and symmetrical buildup of adipose tissue, typically affecting the legs, buttocks, hips, and arms. It is a chronic condition that affects both sides of the body equally and is more common in women.

In March, Gibson revealed she had 45% of her arm removed through a brachioplasty, a surgical procedure designed to eliminate excess skin and fat from the upper arm. She has previously shared that despite her efforts to work out, she struggled to reduce localized fat deposits. Gibson indicated that the condition had previously made her feel "held back" but has since focused on fitness and wellness, including using a treadmill, performing home circuits, and taking collagen supplements and electrolytes. She has also engaged in lymphatic drainage treatments.
