Jordyn Woods, 28, has voiced her concerns regarding the impact of GLP-1 drugs, such as Ozempic, on the body positivity movement, stating that the trend toward widespread thinness represents a regression for inclusivity.

"We were taking some steps forward, and now I think in the Ozempic era we're taking a few steps back," Woods told Bustle in a recent interview. "Everyone's skinny now. The bug hasn't caught me yet."

Woods, who is engaged to New York Knicks player Karl-Anthony Towns, asserted that the current focus on thinness does not make it difficult for her to uphold her role as a body-positivity advocate. "It's not hard for me. My weight's going to fluctuate. I'm going to be skinnier sometimes. I'm human," she explained.

Throughout her career, Woods has been a proponent of size inclusivity. In 2018, she launched her activewear line, Secndnture, which offered sizes from XS to 2X. The following year, she collaborated with the online retailer Boohoo on a size-inclusive collection.

In the past, Woods has shared her personal fitness journey. In 2021, she posted a "before and after" photo on Instagram to promote her fitness app, Frstplace. At the time, she wrote, "I can't even believe I'm posting this but this is really me and this is my journey. Hopefully this can inspire some of you! It all started with a lot of mental and emotional work and the physical came with it. We all start somewhere."

Her post at the time garnered some backlash, prompting her fiancé, Towns, to defend her against online criticism. He wrote on X, formerly Twitter, "Are we saying that women can't work hard and transform their bodies? I've SEEN the hard work and I've seen the results and trust me, this is all natural. Since 10 years old, people been calling this woman vile things because of her weight and instead of letting the internet run her life, she went out the [sic] put the damn work in and changed her whole life. FITNESS SAVED HER LIFE!"

Woods gained significant public attention partly due to her close friendship with Kylie Jenner, whom she met in middle school. Their relationship faced a public rift seven years ago when Woods became involved in a publicized situation with Jenner's sister, Khloe Kardashian, and Kardashian's then-boyfriend, Tristan Thompson. Woods was 21 at the time of the incident.
