Jordon Hudson, girlfriend of North Carolina football coach Bill Belichick, was present on the sidelines during the Tar Heels' home opener against East Tennessee State on Saturday. The Tar Heels secured a 35-3 victory, improving their record to 2-0.
Hudson, who manages Belichick's career endeavors outside of football, has maintained a relatively low profile. She was seen in North Carolina gear during the game at Kenan Stadium. This is not the first time Hudson has been on the sidelines at UNC games, having also attended several last season.
Her appearance comes amid a period of notable changes within the UNC football program. Earlier in September, Mike Lombardi, UNC's general manager and a longtime associate of Belichick, resigned from his position. His departure followed an internal investigation into a human resources complaint, during which he was placed on paid administrative leave.
Additionally, in early August, the UNC football program announced that Bill Belichick's son, defensive coordinator Steve Belichick, was on medical leave and would be out indefinitely. Steve Belichick did not accompany the team for their season opener in Ireland.
Hudson has also been less active on social media. Her most recent Instagram post, dated May 2, featured photos of her and Belichick at the 2026 Kentucky Derby. Her social media activity on X ceased in June, leading to some public speculation about the status of their relationship. The couple publicly confirmed their relationship in June 2024, having first met on a flight in 2021.
Hudson, a former NCA Champion cheerleader at Bridgewater State University, had previously drawn attention after an interview with Belichick for "CBS Sunday Morning" in April. During the interview, she interrupted a question about how she and Belichick met, prompting questions about her involvement in his career outside of football.
