Fernández has a history of maximizing player performance, having helped Cam Johnson and Michael Porter Jr. achieve career-best seasons. The addition of Randle, a proven scorer, is expected to bolster the team's offensive capabilities. While Randle's ball-dominant style has been noted, his ability to create opportunities could complement Porter's strengths as a cutter and catch-and-shoot player.

Porter's three-point attempts, for instance, were predominantly off the catch rather than wide open looks, a situation Randle's playmaking could improve. Over the past seven seasons, Randle has ranked among the league leaders in assists on three-pointers. He has previously demonstrated his ability to be a transitional player, helping teams move from a struggling position to one of competence.
