Jonathan Taylor Thomas Arrested for Public Intoxication, Resisting Deputy
The former 'Home Improvement' star was taken into custody early Monday morning in California.
Former child star Jonathan Taylor Thomas was arrested Monday morning in Westlake Village, California, on charges of obstruction and public intoxication. He was taken into custody around 1:50 a.m. and released 34 hours later.
Law enforcement officials reported that Thomas, 45, was a passenger in a vehicle that had been stopped by police. While deputies were interacting with the driver, Thomas allegedly exited the car against their instructions. When deputies told him to return to the vehicle, he reportedly became uncooperative, failed to follow orders, and obstructed the investigation.
No charges had been filed against Thomas as of Wednesday afternoon. The identity of the driver and their arrest status have not been released.
Thomas was a main cast member on the popular sitcom "Home Improvement" from 1991 to 1998. In recent years, he has maintained a lower profile but made guest appearances on Tim Allen's sitcom "Last Man Standing" between 2013 and 2015. He also reunited with "Home Improvement" co-stars Patricia Richardson and Taran Noah Smith earlier this year.
