Jonathan Taylor Thomas Arrested After Allegedly Kicking Deputy
The former 'Home Improvement' star was also charged with public intoxication and resisting an officer.
Jonathan Taylor Thomas, known for his role on the sitcom "Home Improvement," was arrested early Monday morning in Westlake Village, California, after allegedly kicking a sheriff's deputy in the stomach. The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department told TMZ that Thomas struck the deputy while the officer was attempting to remove him from a vehicle.
The incident began when the vehicle Thomas was a passenger in was pulled over for blocking traffic at an intersection. According to reports, the 45-year-old actor was uncooperative with officials and appeared to be intoxicated in public.
Thomas was charged with public intoxication and obstructing or resisting an executive officer. He was taken to the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station and subsequently released on Tuesday.
Thomas stepped away from acting in the early 2000s to pursue education and other interests, rarely appearing in public or in the spotlight since. He last made headlines in July when he reunited with former "Home Improvement" co-stars Patricia Richardson and Taran Noah Smith for a photo shared on social media.
