Jonathan Ross's Daughter Honey Learns Welsh, Practices on Dog
YouTuber Gav Murphy shares that his girlfriend, Honey Ross, is using the Duolingo app and their dog, Coco, to learn Welsh.
YouTuber Gav Murphy, 41, has revealed that his girlfriend, Honey Ross, the daughter of TV presenter Jonathan Ross, is learning Welsh. Murphy, originally from Caerphilly, shared on BBC Radio Cymru's 'Beti a'i Phobol' that Ross is using the Duolingo app to study the language and practices speaking it with their dog, Coco.
The couple met on Instagram and bonded over a shared passion for films, a topic they have discussed extensively since. Murphy noted that Honey, the youngest of Jonathan Ross and Jane Goldman's three children, possesses an "incredible memory" which aids her language learning.
Ross, who is a writer, podcaster, and model, lives with Murphy in London. Due to their location, opportunities to practice Welsh are limited. Murphy encourages Ross to speak Welsh with their dog, reasoning that Coco "not going to tell you if you're wrong."
Murphy, a video producer who graduated in Film and Television Studies from Aberystwyth University, has been a content producer and presenter in London for years. He is also a co-founder of the YouTube gaming channel RKG.
Ross has been an advocate for women's rights, co-founding the Pink Protest movement in 2017, which campaigned for issues such as period poverty. Murphy remarked on her dedication, stating that her activism was "full-time" and that she was instrumental in changing laws.
Murphy also mentioned that he gets along well with Honey's father, Jonathan Ross, describing them as "professional silly-billies" who enjoy laughing together. He often asks Ross about his experiences meeting various celebrities, particularly Welsh figures like Tom Jones and Anthony Hopkins.
