Jon Stewart Advises Trump to 'President Better' Amidst Media Ban

Jon Stewart, host of "The Daily Show," has offered a pointed piece of advice to President Donald Trump regarding his administration's decision to ban several major media outlets from White House briefings. Stewart suggested that instead of banning the press, the President should focus on "presidenting better."

During his Monday night monologue, Stewart played a clip of Trump expressing frustration with negative coverage, stating, "I mean, there’s something wrong with a country that can allow people to write purposely negative stories." Following a brief silence, Stewart responded directly to the President, asking, "Have you tried presidenting better? You could ban the press — or you could be a better fucking president. I mean, give the press something to work with."

Stewart also sarcastically offered a positive news story suggestion to Trump, referencing the rising cost of fuel: "Oh, here’s a positive story. I never thought my car could take $140 worth of gas in such a small tank. I had no idea!"

The comedian further criticized Trump for what he described as an admission of going "out against the Constitution" by banning the free press. Stewart commented on the President's perceived disregard for constitutional norms, stating, "He gives no fucks. He doesn’t even respect us enough to pretend he’s bound by our Constitution."
