Jon Gosselin's Wife Praises Son Collin's Memoir

Stephanie Lebo, wife of Jon Gosselin, has publicly supported her stepson Collin Gosselin, stating he is "changing the world" with his recently released memoir. The book details alleged abuse Collin experienced during his childhood at the hands of his mother, Kate Gosselin.

"Collin, you are changing the world, and I hope you truly understand that," Lebo wrote in an Instagram post. "You’ve turned some of the darkest chapters of your life into something that will help others. You spent so many years fighting to be heard, and now the world is listening."

Lebo, 39, added that Collin is "kind, intelligent, strong, and so incredibly loved," emphasizing that he is seen, heard, and has nothing left to prove. She concluded her message with, "Keep shining, Collin. The world is listening, and I couldn’t be prouder of you! I love you… WE ALL love you."

The memoir, titled "In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood," was released earlier this month. In it, Collin claims his mother was physically and emotionally abusive throughout his upbringing. He was a child star on the TLC reality series "Jon & Kate Plus 8," which documented his parents' lives raising their eight children, including twins and sextuplets. Jon and Kate Gosselin divorced in 2009.

Kate Gosselin has denied these allegations, suggesting Collin may be experiencing mental health issues. Collin has been estranged from his mother since 2016, when he was sent to a behavioral health institution at age 11 for alleged behavioral problems. Jon Gosselin obtained legal and physical custody of Collin in 2018. Collin and his sister Hannah have lived with their father for several years and have not spoken to their other siblings in a decade. Collin has expressed a desire for his siblings to know that "what was done to us as children is not normal."
