John Torode, who was removed as a judge from the BBC's "MasterChef," and his wife, Lisa Faulkner, have sold their north London home for £1.8 million. The couple, who purchased the property in 2015 for £1.2 million, reduced the asking price by £105,000 to finalize the sale.

The five-bedroom house in Muswell Hill was the site for the pair's YouTube cooking program, "John and Lisa's Kitchen and Home." This show has garnered over 1.3 million views and 23,000 subscribers.

Torode, 61, and Faulkner, 54, renovated the three-story Edwardian home after buying it. The renovations included a bespoke kitchen and diner leading to a south-facing garden, as well as designer bathroom suites and timber sash windows. The property also features a garden office.

Faulkner recently shared that she was recovering from breast cancer surgery in the garden of their home. She spoke about finding light in difficult situations and expressed happiness with a life focused on cooking with her husband and acting.

Torode's departure from "MasterChef" came after an allegation that he sang along to Kanye West's song "Gold Digger," which contains a racial slur, at a 2019 wrap party. Although Torode stated he did not recall the incident, the BBC did not renew his contract after an investigation.

He had been a judge on the show for 20 years, alongside Gregg Wallace, who was dismissed over separate misconduct claims. They have since been replaced by Grace Dent and Anna Haugh. Torode described his dismissal as a "shock" and stated he was "devastated" after dedicating considerable effort to the program. He indicated he would not pursue legal action.

Following his exit from "MasterChef," Torode continues to host cooking segments on ITV's "This Morning." The couple launched their YouTube channel in December of the previous year, focusing on creating meals for various occasions.

Land Registry documents confirm the sale of the property for £1,795,000. The couple, who married in 2019, met on "Celebrity MasterChef" nine years prior. Torode has four children from previous relationships, and Faulkner has an adopted daughter with her former husband.
