Veteran actor John Schneider, 66, was recently spotted in West Hollywood on a rare public outing. Schneider, who rose to fame in the 1980s as Bo Duke in "The Dukes of Hazzard" and later played Jonathan Kent in "Smallville," appeared with his wife, Dee Dee Schneider, and actress Ruta Lee.

Schneider has been in the news in recent years for controversial statements. In February 2024, he drew criticism for comments comparing Beyoncé's venture into country music to "a dog marking territory." He made these remarks during a discussion on conservative network One American News about artists crossing genres, which many interpreted as racist.

The previous year, Schneider was the subject of a Secret Service investigation after posting on X (formerly Twitter) in December 2023, "Mr President, I believe you are guilty of treason and should be publicly hung. Your son too." He later deleted the post and denied making a direct threat or advocating for violence, though the Secret Service initiated a preliminary investigation.

Schneider, who has over 180 acting credits, married Dee Dee Sorvino, the widow of actor Paul Sorvino, in July 2024. Both had lost their spouses in the preceding two years.

He was not alone on the outing as he was joined by wife Dee Dee Schneider, 59, and 91-year-old Canadian actress Ruta Lee
