John Nellis Announces on Strictly Come Dancing His Wife is Expecting

YouTuber John Nellis announced during Saturday night's episode of Strictly Come Dancing that his wife, Shannon McMahon, is pregnant. Nellis, 33, shared that their baby is due in February and expressed his joy at the prospect of expanding their family.

"The hardest part of my job, and it genuinely breaks my heart, is the amount of time I spend away from family," Nellis said during the broadcast. "I miss my wife more than you can imagine, and my son. And our family's growing. We're having another baby in February. I want a big family. I want big Christmases and big parties like I grew up with more than you can imagine."

Nellis, who is a stepfather to Eli, married McMahon last year at Ballyness Resort in Dungiven, Northern Ireland. He is known for his football-focused YouTube channel, which has garnered a significant following with billions of views and collaborations with prominent athletes. Nellis transitioned to full-time content creation after leaving his job as an air traffic controller and was named Sport Creator of the Year at the 2024 TikTok Awards UK & Ireland.

On the dance competition, Nellis and his professional partner Katya Jones performed a Couple's Choice dance to "An Irish Party in Third Class" from Titanic. While judges Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke awarded the pair seven points each, Craig Revel Horwood gave a score of four, citing Nellis's footwork. The performance earned a total of 23 points for the week, adding to their previous score of 31, placing them towards the top of the leaderboard with a combined total of 54.

Despite initial criticism of the Strictly 2026 lineup for lacking prominent household names, Nellis has reportedly impressed viewers with his performances.

The YouTuber, 33, said he was finding it hard being away from his family and that they are expecting a baby in February
