Designer John Galliano has been accused of a new antisemitic incident, which publicist Lauren London claims occurred in July at a spa. London stated on Instagram that Galliano repeatedly shouted "Merry Christmas" at her friend, Sabine Cimber Goldberg, who was speaking Hebrew on the phone. According to London, when asked about his behavior, Galliano allegedly responded that he took issue with the language.

Galliano, who was fired from Christian Dior in 2011 for making antisemitic and anti-Asian remarks, has denied this latest accusation when questioned by the New York Times. London described the incident as evidence of the designer's continued "hatred."

The allegations surfaced shortly after an announcement that Galliano would be honored with a Costume Institute exhibition and its accompanying Met Gala. The news prompted significant criticism from New York politicians, cultural figures, and museum donors, who called the decision a "failure of governance" by the museum and Costume Institute leader Anna Wintour.

Following the mounting criticism, the Costume Institute exhibition and Met Gala honoring Galliano were reportedly canceled. Lauren London shared a headline indicating Galliano's withdrawal from the event, expressing satisfaction with the outcome on social media.
