John Cena has embarked on the second phase of his hair restoration journey, undergoing another follicular unit extraction (FUE) procedure this week. The 49-year-old actor and wrestling personality shared his commitment to the process by posting a photo alongside Dr. Ken Anderson, with whom he is collaborating on the treatment.
"Round 2 of FUE treatment and this time I went all in for best possible results," Cena captioned the social media post. "Thank you @KenAndersonMD and the staff at Anderson Center for Hair for accompanying me on this journey!"
Dr. Anderson echoed Cena's sentiments, stating, "Your commitment to the process and long-term hair health has made all the difference. I'm grateful for the trust you've placed in me and my team, and honored to continue being part of your journey."
Cena first underwent a hair transplant in November 2024, a decision he has openly stated was influenced by online criticism of his thinning hair. He previously described the experience of being mocked by fans for his hair loss as "bullying."
"You chant, and you make me feel small, and you embarrass me… Y'all don't know what that's like," Cena said in an interview last April. "That is straight-up bullying. That's just not cool. I don't like it. So, thank you for bullying me into getting surgical hair replacement. That's how far y'all push me."
He has characterized his hair loss as a "genetic condition I can't control."
Cena's current endeavors extend beyond his personal health journey. His latest film, "Little Brother," co-starring Eric André, is currently the number one movie on Netflix. He also has several upcoming film projects, including "Coyote vs. Acme," "Matchbox: The Movie," and "One Attempt Remaining."
Recently, Cena concluded his professional wrestling career with a final match against Gunther at WWE's Saturday Night's Main Event. While he has retired from in-ring competition, Cena continues to engage with WWE in a hosting capacity. He has not ruled out a return to wrestling under specific financial conditions, suggesting that a substantial offer could entice him back into the ring.
