John Boyega Shares First Glimpse of Newborn Son
The 'Star Wars' actor revealed the arrival of his baby boy on Instagram, also sharing photos from what appeared to be a baby shower.
Actor John Boyega has shared the first glimpse of his newborn son via Instagram, announcing that the "bundle of joy" has been with the family for some time. He also extended well wishes to his sister, who is expecting.
In a carousel of photos posted on Tuesday, Boyega included a video of himself cradling his baby.
The post also featured images of a woman, widely believed to be his partner Lashontae Heckard, with a noticeable baby bump at what appeared to be a baby shower. Boyega and Heckard are rumored to be married.
Fellow celebrities responded to the announcement with congratulatory messages. Tyrese Gibson wrote, "Praise God!!!!! I love you both…. You guys are amazing already great parents and now it’s new favor and new blessings!!!!!! Congratulations on the new angel….. Jon sir you are applying a lot of pressure for a brother like me!!!!!!!!!! Yikes!!!! Lol." Actress Teyonah Parris also commented, "Congratulations!!!"
Heckard herself commented, "Love and blessings to my Blessing!!!!❤️."
This news follows a recent interview in which Boyega revealed he had been married for two years and was expecting a baby boy. He told The Guardian that he and his wife prefer to celebrate "something established" rather than the beginning of their union. Boyega also disclosed that he is a stepfather to a young boy, who is Heckard's son with former NBA player Brandon Jennings.
