Scottish-American actor John Barrowman has drawn criticism online after posting a video complaining about his business class experience on an American Airlines flight from Los Angeles to London.

Barrowman, known for his roles in "Doctor Who" and "Desperate Housewives," shared a now-deleted video on X, formerly Twitter, detailing what he described as "shady" service. He expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of complimentary pajamas, which he stated are typically provided on ultra-long-haul business class flights. Barrowman noted that his father and husband were seated behind him and that the tickets were expensive.

"We get on thinking we’d get pajamas with the flagship service," Barrowman said in the video, filming from his seat. "Then you apparently only give them to the first two rows in business class. What’s that all about? So far you’re not batting very high."

He also cited issues with his meal order being incorrect and mentioned that he was told he would not receive the same meal as other passengers despite having paid for the "flagship service."

"Can you explain? Thank you," Barrowman concluded his video.

While some social media users defended Barrowman's right to expect the service he paid for, many others criticized his remarks. Comments labeled the actor's complaints as "ridiculous" and indicative of excessive "entitlement."

"To be fair if you pay a lot of money for a service then I’d expect the service I paid for," one user commented. Another user sarcastically offered "thoughts are with John Barrowman at this difficult time," while a third suggested, "Stop moaning about a pair of pyjamas, if you paid business class you can afford a pair yourself!"

In the caption accompanying the video, Barrowman further criticized American Airlines, stating he found the service "shady and bad customer service" and that the "flagship" offering was not meeting expectations.
