Joe Rogan Renews Multi-Year Deal with Spotify

Joe Rogan has renewed his contract with Spotify for his podcast, "The Joe Rogan Experience," inking a multi-year deal worth nine figures, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal.

The terms of the new agreement were not disclosed with an exact dollar amount, but it is reported to be similar in value to Rogan's previous deal. In 2024, Rogan signed an exclusive contract with the Swedish-based streaming service valued at $250 million.

"The partnership with Spotify has been an amazing fit, and they’re incredible to work with," Rogan said in a statement. "I’m extremely happy and excited to continue with them for years to come."

"The Joe Rogan Experience" has been identified by Edison Research as the most popular podcast in the United States since the firm began tracking the market in 2019. The show boasts over 18 million followers on Spotify and more than 21 million on YouTube.

Rogan's podcast, launched in 2009, features extensive interviews with a diverse range of guests, including comedians, actors, politicians, scientists, and authors. His interviews often delve into a variety of topics, and he has been known to express contrarian viewpoints, which have occasionally led to controversy.

Previously, Spotify signed Rogan in 2020, securing exclusive rights to his show for a reported sum exceeding $100 million. At that time, the podcast was available across multiple platforms. By the second quarter of the year the deal was signed, the show reached approximately 6.6 million Americans. By the second quarter of 2026, that number had grown to about 28.4 million Americans.

In early 2024, Spotify renewed its deal with Rogan and began distributing "The Joe Rogan Experience" across all platforms, including YouTube. Under the terms of the renewed agreement, Spotify, which has more than 300 million premium subscribers, will continue to manage sales and licensing for the podcast, which remains accessible on various services.
