Veteran running back Joe Mixon is signing with the Seattle Seahawks' practice squad, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. Mixon has not played in the league since January 2025, having missed all of last season with the Houston Texans due to a mysterious foot injury.
Mixon met with Seattle on Monday. The Seahawks, currently 3-1, are near the middle of the league in rushing yards per game and yards per carry. The team is also awaiting the return of running back Zach Charbonnet from injured reserve.
Mixon, 30, has been a productive player in the NFL when healthy, contributing both as a runner and receiver. His signing provides depth for the Seahawks as they navigate their current season.
