Reality television personality Joe Amabile, 40, has provided an optimistic update following brain surgery to remove a tumor. Amabile underwent a craniotomy to extract a "blueberry-sized tumor" from his brain, which was discovered earlier this summer during a full-body scan.

On Thursday, Amabile shared photos from his hospital room, captioned "They got it all!" One image depicted the television alum with a bandaged head and a smile, while another showed him in a chair giving a peace sign. His wife, Serena Pitt, 28, was also featured in a photo holding his hand. A box of cupcakes was also visible in the hospital room.

Pitt confirmed the successful surgery on Instagram Stories, stating, "The best update: they were able to remove the entire tumor." She added, "Joe is recovering really well. We're feeling so grateful."

Amabile first disclosed the presence of an early-stage brain tumor in July, following an MRI scan. He explained that a lesion, identified as a potential glioma, was found on his brain. "So I now need to get brain surgery to get it removed and get it tested, and then we’re gonna go from there," he said at the time. "So it’s been a wild couple weeks. Definitely wasn’t expecting this."

Amabile, who gained fame from his appearances on "Bachelor in Paradise" in 2018 and 2021 after being eliminated from "The Bachelorette," expressed his commitment to staying positive. He acknowledged the unexpected nature of the diagnosis but highlighted the support from family and friends.

Pitt had previously shared her preparations for Amabile's recovery, seeking advice from followers who had experience with brain surgery. Her preparations included purchasing specific shampoo and conditioner for post-surgery use, Tylenol, pajamas, and a hospital pillow.

Amabile and Pitt met on "Bachelor in Paradise" season seven and became engaged during the show's finale. They married in a courthouse ceremony in October 2022, followed by a larger celebration in Charleston, South Carolina, in September 2023.
