Joanne McNally Calls Herself 'Most Gullible Human Alive' After Being Fooled by Richard E. Grant on 'Celebrity Traitors'
The comedian revealed on her podcast that she defended actor Richard E. Grant as a 'faithful' despite his admissions of being a traitor.

Comedian Joanne McNally has admitted to being 'the most gullible human alive' after being completely convinced by actor Richard E. Grant's claims of being a 'faithful' on the reality show 'Celebrity Traitors.' McNally, 43, revealed on her podcast, 'My Therapist Ghosted Me,' with co-host Vogue Williams that she defended Grant, 69, throughout the early stages of the game, despite his rather overt admissions of being a traitor.
"I am defending him to the hilt," McNally stated, recounting her conviction. "When I say I have never believed something more than he was the faithful, it was wild. He is the most unbelievable man. I believe all their lies. They look me in the eye and I believe their lies and then I go out and ride at dawn for them and I make a shell of myself."
Williams expressed her disbelief, noting that Grant's confession in the first episode seemed an obvious sign of his deception. "I think it's very sweet, but like it could not be more obvious that he's a traitor," Williams said. "Because you've got nothing else to go on. If he'd have said this in like episode three or something as a joke, but because he said it in episode one, it's like, well, we we can just think of other people being traitors, but we don't actually know. At least this fella said something."
McNally countered that the experience of being deceived in person is far more potent than simply observing the show. "Vogue, you have not been looked in the eye by Richard and told that he's a faithful. You haven't," McNally insisted. "You don't know that experience. You don't know how convincing he is. It turns out he's a really good actor and turns out I am the most gullible human alive and I'm a male apologist."
Fans of 'Celebrity Traitors' also expressed frustration with the show's cliffhanger ending in its second episode, which concluded abruptly during a round table discussion as players debated Grant's allegiance. The unexpected halt left viewers waiting a full week to discover the outcome of the banishment.
Elsewhere in the episode, broadcaster Amol Rajan was 'murdered' by traitors Richard E. Grant and Maya Jama, marking an early exit for the journalist. 'Celebrity Traitors' continues on BBC One on Thursdays at 8 p.m.
