Joanne McNally and Miranda Hart Clash on 'Celebrity Traitors' Over 'Bouncing Floor' Theory

A recent episode of BBC's Celebrity Traitors featured a heated confrontation between Joanne McNally and Miranda Hart regarding a 'bouncing floor' theory. The incident occurred during a challenge where contestants, blindfolded, were tasked with navigating a room while the Traitors secretly attempted to sabotage their efforts. James Acaster, a Traitor, reportedly refused to participate due to fear of being caught.

During the challenge, Miranda Hart reported hearing floorboards creak near her, leading her to suspect Joanne McNally due to a perceived pre-existing bias. After the challenge, Hart initially shared her suspicion with James Blunt but later retracted it after McNally became aware of the accusation and reacted strongly. At the subsequent round table, Hart declared her theory debunked. When questioned by Michael Sheen about the debunking, Hart explained that the noise could have originated from elsewhere in the room and did not necessarily implicate those beside her.

McNally expressed frustration, stating that Hart's initial accusation had already been made and felt like a "set-up." She suggested that Hart's suspicion of her, despite McNally claiming she remained still, was "mad." Hart responded that she understood McNally's perspective, but McNally countered that bringing up a "debunked theory" again at the round table was unnecessary.

Following the exchange, some viewers took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to label McNally as a "mean girl," with comments suggesting she was bullying Hart and that the interaction felt unnecessarily "nasty" for a game.

Elsewhere in the episode, Jerry Hall was banished after the other contestants turned on her at the round table. However, some viewers speculated that Hall was not perceived as a Traitor but rather as a "chaotic" or "bad" Faithful, leading to her elimination as a strategic move to retain stronger Faithfuls.

Celebrity Traitors airs on BBC1 on Friday nights.
