JJ Redick recounts Lakers player Quentin Grimes' accidental home invasion

Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick has shared a peculiar anecdote about his player Quentin Grimes, detailing an incident where Grimes accidentally entered a neighbor's guest house in the Hamptons instead of Redick's own residence.

Redick recounted the event during a Lakers media day session, explaining that he had provided Grimes with the address to his guest house and instructions on how to access it. "I'm very detail-oriented, so I provide him the address to my guest house," Redick said. "It’s a very specific address, as all addresses are, right? There’s no wiggle room on that."

Redick instructed Grimes on where to find the key and described the layout of the guest house, expecting him and a friend to make themselves at home. However, upon returning from golf to pick up Grimes, Redick found his guest house empty. "So I’m looking all over for him... I go on his Instagram, and he has posted a picture from another house in my neighborhood of the pool," Redick stated.

It turned out Grimes had mistakenly entered a neighbor's house. "So I tell him, ‘Where the f are you, dude?’ They had gone into one of my neighbors’ homes, and gone into their guest house," Redick explained, adding that the neighbor's door must have been unlocked.

The story, which gained traction on social media, highlights a moment of confusion that luckily did not lead to more serious repercussions, with Redick implying his neighbors were understanding about the mix-up.
