Jimmy Rollins Explains His Role in Women's Underwear Brand
The former MLB star clarifies his involvement with The Pretty Kitty Klub after sparking online discussion.
Former Major League Baseball star Jimmy Rollins has clarified his role in the women's underwear and apparel brand, The Pretty Kitty Klub, after a recent promotional push on social media generated questions and speculation. Rollins, a co-founder of the company, stated that he has taken a more private role focused on the brand's strategic growth and business development.
Rollins, who is also an analyst for TNT Sports, recently posted content on Instagram showcasing models in The Pretty Kitty Klub's apparel and shared alleged customer testimonials. However, many observers noted that Rollins was not prominently featured on the company's website, leading some to question if his accounts had been compromised.
In a statement, The Pretty Kitty Klub confirmed Rollins' co-founder status, explaining that his current involvement is strategic and behind the scenes. "Jimmy has taken a more private role, focused on the company’s long-term vision, strategic growth, and business development. That’s why he isn’t currently featured on the website," the company said. The brand emphasized that its website is designed to highlight the female perspective, with founder and CEO Desiree LeSassier leading creative vision, product development, and daily operations.
LeSassier has a background in sports and entertainment, having worked on brand strategy and partnerships with organizations such as the Lakers, Dodgers, and Magic Johnson Enterprises.
Rollins played 17 seasons in MLB, primarily with the Philadelphia Phillies, and also had stints with the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago White Sox. He concluded his career with a .264 batting average, 231 home runs, and 936 RBIs. During his acclaimed career, he earned an MVP award in 2007, was a three-time All-Star, won four Gold Gloves, and received a Silver Slugger award.
