Former Major League Baseball star Jimmy Rollins has clarified recent social media activity that led to speculation he was either hacked or engaged in unusual personal behavior. Rollins, the 2007 National League MVP, is actually a co-founder of The Pretty Kitty Klub, a women's underwear brand.
Recent Instagram posts from Rollins included screenshots of text messages praising the brand, which he captioned by stating the company was "saving sex lives one marriage at a time." This followed a post about "postseason defense matters!" which, combined with the underwear-related content, prompted followers to question the nature of his Instagram account.
Rollins further explained the venture by posting images of models wearing the product and referencing the upcoming holiday season. He encouraged followers to consider the brand as a gift, stating that "comfy and sexy does exist" and that customers could "thank me later." He also noted that AI was used to assist with editing the images.
The Pretty Kitty Klub confirmed Rollins' role as a co-founder, stating in a statement to the New York Post that he has maintained a private role focusing on the company's long-term vision, strategic growth, and business development. "That’s why he isn’t currently featured on the website," the company added.
Rollins, who also works as an analyst for TNT Sports, has pursued various endeavors since retiring from professional baseball, including participating in golf tournaments. The clarification aims to address the confusion generated by his Instagram posts and highlight his entrepreneurial activities.
