Jimmy Kimmel Encourages Audience to Chant Insult at Trump Rallies
The late-night host is hoping a heckler's insult about a controversial ballroom project becomes a recurring theme at presidential events.

Jimmy Kimmel is hoping a heckler at a recent Donald Trump rally sparks a trend of disruptive chanting. During Trump's speech in Mississippi, an audience member shouted, “Shove that ballroom up your fat ass!”
Kimmel, during his Tuesday night show, expressed a desire for the phrase to be repeated at future Trump rallies. "Wouldn’t it be a shame if people started yelling that everywhere he goes? ‘Shove that ballroom up your fat ass!’" Kimmel said, adding with mock seriousness, "You know what would be even worse? If people started printing it on shirts."
The insult was a jab at a planned White House ballroom project, a venture that has reportedly seen its estimated cost escalate significantly. Initially, Trump claimed the project would cost $200 million and be funded by private donors. However, recent reports indicate the cost has climbed to $600 million, with taxpayers potentially covering half of that amount.
Kimmel, showcasing a t-shirt with the phrase printed on it, sarcastically pleaded with the audience, “Please, please don’t do this at his next rally tomorrow in Ohio or the next one in South Carolina. Please! It’s beneath us.” The rally in Mississippi occurred amid discussions about the growing cost and funding of the proposed ballroom.
Kimmel featured the heckling incident in his monologue, playing a clip of the event and offering his commentary on the situation and the underlying issue of the ballroom project's expense.
