Jim Jefferies and Ricki-Lee Coulter to Host 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' on Channel Seven
The popular reality show is moving to a new network with a fresh hosting lineup for its 2027 season.
The reality competition series "I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!" is set for a significant transformation as it moves to Channel Seven and welcomes comedian Jim Jefferies and singer Ricki-Lee Coulter as its new hosts for the 2027 season. This change follows the show's cancellation by Channel Ten earlier this year.
The network announced the new hosting duo at its upfronts event on Thursday, touting the move as a "fresh evolution" of the international reality format. Jefferies, known for his controversial stand-up comedy, and Coulter, who gained fame on "Australian Idol," will replace outgoing hosts Julia Morris and Robert Irwin.
"I couldn't be more excited to be heading to Africa for the very first time to host one of the most iconic shows in the world," Coulter, 40, stated. "I'm such a massive fan and it's a huge honour. And to be doing it alongside the incredible Jim Jefferies makes it even better!"
Coulter added that she has long watched the show from afar and is eager to experience it firsthand. "Watching our favourite celebrities squirm their way through some absolutely horrific challenges is gonna be a wild ride," she said.
Jefferies expressed immediate enthusiasm for the role. "When Seven asked if I'd like to spend weeks in the African jungle watching celebrities eat strange things and embarrass themselves on national television, I couldn't say yes fast enough," he commented. "It sounds like my ideal holiday. And who better to go into the wild with than Ricki-Lee. I can't wait!"
Majella Hay, Seven's Director of Content, Unscripted, described the pairing of Jefferies and Coulter as exciting due to their contrasting personalities. "Individually, Ricki-Lee and Jim couldn't be more different but that's exactly what makes this pairing so exciting," Hay said. "Together, they'll bring a fresh, unexpected energy to the jungle that Australians are going to love!"
"I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!" is scheduled to premiere on Seven and its streaming platform 7plus in 2027, with a specific air date yet to be announced.
Robert Irwin, a conservationist and son of the late Steve Irwin, had co-hosted the series with Julia Morris since 2024, taking over after the departure of veterinarian Dr. Chris Brown. Channel Ten confirmed the show's discontinuation for its 2027 schedule in May, stating the decision was part of a broader strategy to offer diverse content across its platforms. A spokesperson for Network 10 added that they look forward to collaborating with Morris and Irwin on future projects.
