Jim Davidson Finds New Love Weeks After Sixth Wedding Cancellation
Comedian Jim Davidson has revealed he is dating Maria Rice-Mundy, a former television presenter, just weeks after calling off his planned wedding to Natasha.
Comedian Jim Davidson, 72, has confirmed he is in a new relationship with Maria Rice-Mundy, 60, a former beauty pageant winner and television presenter. The announcement comes mere weeks after Davidson revealed he had cancelled his sixth wedding to his ex-partner, Natasha.
Davidson told the Daily Mail that he and Natasha, 49, ended their relationship three months prior, with Natasha being the one to initiate the split. He described Rice-Mundy, with whom he has been friends for years, as "too good to be true" and possessing a "special something" that sets her apart from other women he has encountered.
"I am not short of ladies who want to date me but Maria has something special about her," Davidson stated. "She makes me feel like I'm not as useless as I've been made out to be."
Davidson admitted he is still processing the breakup with Natasha, which led to the cancellation of their wedding at Hampton Court and the loss of a £10,000 deposit. He noted that he and Natasha had a tumultuous relationship, experiencing monthly breakups during their three-year union, with only about 18 months being consistently positive.
He expressed a desire to avoid loneliness, stating, "I would just like to not be lonely." Davidson and Rice-Mundy have been on several dinner dates, and he shared a picture of her on his Facebook page.
Rice-Mundy, a mother of three, is a finalist in the Ms Great Britain Classic 2026 national competition. She previously co-hosted the television game shows "Sale Of The Century" and "Bob's Your Uncle" in the late 1980s and reportedly dated Simon Cowell.
Davidson's planned sixth marriage cancellation followed his divorce from his fifth wife, Michelle Cotton, after 14 years of marriage. He announced their split in April 2023. Davidson has been married five times previously. His first marriage was to Sue Walpole in 1971, followed by unions with Julie Gullick, Alison Holloway, Tracy Hilton, and Michelle Cotton. He has five children from his marriages.
