Former First Lady Dr. Jill Biden has revealed that she prays to her late son, Beau Biden, for strength as the family navigates former President Joe Biden's aggressive prostate cancer diagnosis. She spoke about her coping mechanisms and faith in a podcast released Monday.
"I pray to Beau, and I think he listens, and now with … Joe's cancer diagnosis, I get a little frustrated and I say, 'Beau, where are you? I need you,'" Jill Biden said on The Jamie Kern Lima Show. Beau Biden died in 2015 after a battle with brain cancer.
In June, Jill Biden told NBC that President Biden's cancer had metastasized to his bones. Her comments follow the recent publication of her memoir, "View from the East Wing," which addresses Beau Biden's death, Hunter Biden's struggles with addiction, and the 2024 presidential election.
Reflecting on Beau's final moments and her faith at that time, the former first lady recounted praying for divine intervention, saying, “I kept praying and praying and saying … 'Take me,' or you know, we just try to make all these bargains and deals.
