Jetstar Passenger Removed From Flight After Inflating Life Jacket
A Jetstar passenger was reportedly escorted off a plane by officers after inflating a life jacket during a safety demonstration.
A Jetstar passenger appears to have been removed from a plane by officers after inflating his life jacket during a pre-flight safety demonstration. The aircraft was preparing to depart Adelaide Airport when a video, shared on Instagram by the Lovett Brothers, captured the incident.
As the flight's safety announcement instructed passengers on how to use the life jacket, the man pulled the cord, causing the vest to inflate around him with a loud hiss. A caption on the video noted, "Apparently you're not supposed to copy them." One of his companions, who was reading the safety instructions, appeared to stifle laughter.
A subsequent clip seemed to show the passenger being escorted through the airport by three officers after leaving the aircraft. Some social media users found humor in the event, with comments such as "This was sooo worth it" and "OK, this is very funny, it was worth whatever punishment you got." However, others expressed disapproval, with one user stating, "Delaying the flight for fun? Wowwwww so smart."
Daily Mail has contacted Jetstar, AFP, and Adelaide Airport for comment.
