Jets Lose Key Players, Including Breece Hall, Ahead of Bears Game
The New York Jets are facing mounting injury concerns as several key players, including running back Breece Hall, have been ruled out for their Week 4 matchup against the Chicago Bears.
The New York Jets will be without running back Breece Hall for their Week 4 game against the Chicago Bears due to a quad injury. Hall's absence is a significant blow to the Jets' offense, which has accumulated 265 yards from scrimmage and one touchdown through the first three games of the season. He is considered week-to-week after sustaining the injury during the Jets' Week 3 loss to the Detroit Lions.
Braelon Allen is expected to step in as the primary running back for the Jets, with Isaiah Davis also contributing to fill the void left by Hall. This marks the second consecutive game Mitchell will miss after sustaining a finger injury in practice last week.
Wide receiver Adonai Mitchell, who is also dealing with a finger injury, will miss his second straight game. This situation further thins the Jets' receiving corps behind primary target Garrett Wilson.
In addition to Hall and Mitchell, the Jets will also be without offensive lineman Dylan Parham (knee), tight end Mason Taylor (thumb), and linebacker Kiko Mauigoa (quad). Parham sustained his injury during last week's game and is likely to be replaced by Jordan Meredith at left guard. The offensive line has struggled in the past two weeks after a strong performance in Week 1.
Safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, who has been sidelined with a groin injury since Week 1, is progressing. He participated fully in practice on Thursday and was a limited participant on Friday. Head coach Aaron Glenn expressed optimism regarding Fitzpatrick's chances of returning for Sunday's game.
Edge rusher Kingsley Enagbare, also dealing with a knee injury, will be a limited participant in practice on Friday.
The Jets are looking to avoid a three-game losing streak when they face the Bears in Chicago on Sunday.
