Jets Host Raiders in Week 8 Showdown, Seeking Home Rebound

The New York Jets are set to host the Las Vegas Raiders at MetLife Stadium on Sunday for a Week 8 matchup. This game marks a return home for the Jets after suffering consecutive road defeats, including a recent loss to the Miami Dolphins.

Oddsmakers have installed the Jets as 1.5-point favorites in the contest. This slight advantage may be attributed to the Raiders' recent struggles; Las Vegas has lost its last four games after beginning the season with an undefeated record.

However, the Raiders' recent opponents have included several competitive NFL franchises such as the Chiefs, Patriots, Bills, and Rams, potentially explaining their skid. Sunday's game is anticipated to be a close contest, testing both teams as they aim to improve their standing.

The game is scheduled to kick off at 1 p.m. ET. For viewers without cable, the game can be streamed live on FOX. DIRECTV is offering a five-day free trial of its live TV streaming service, which includes FOX, making it an option for watching the game without a traditional cable subscription.

Both the Jets and Raiders are seeking a win to stay relevant in the league standings, with coaches reportedly feeling increased pressure.
