Jets Face Bears With Key Players Out, Look to Snap Losing Streak

The New York Jets are set to face the Chicago Bears in Week 4 with a significant number of key players sidelined, including wide receiver Adonai Mitchell and offensive lineman Dylan Parham. The team is aiming to avoid a three-game losing streak.

Mitchell is out with a finger injury and is considered week-to-week, marking his second consecutive missed game. His absence further thins the Jets' receiving corps behind Garrett Wilson. Tight end Mason Taylor is also out due to a thumb injury. Last week, their absences allowed rookie tight end Kenyon Sadiq to record seven receptions for 105 yards and a touchdown in the Jets' Week 3 loss.

On the offensive line, Parham will miss the game with a knee injury. Jordan Meredith is expected to fill in at left guard. The offensive line has struggled in recent weeks after a strong Week 1 performance.

Linebacker Kiko Mauigoa (quadriceps) is another player ruled out for the Jets. Safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, however, is set to return after a full practice participation on Friday, having been sidelined since exiting early in his Jets debut with a groin injury.

Edge rusher Kingsley Enagbare (knee) was a limited participant in practice and is listed as questionable.

The Bears have officially ruled out quarterback Caleb Williams due to a hamstring injury. Head coach Ben Johnson has not yet announced who will start at quarterback. Tyson Bagent, who had been the backup, missed last week's game with a concussion. Third-stringer Case Keenum started in his place, completing 24 of 34 passes for 247 yards and two touchdowns in the Bears' 27-7 victory over the Eagles.

Running back D’Andre Swift, who did not practice Thursday due to a knee injury, was a full participant on Friday and does not carry an injury designation for Sunday's game.
