Jets Add Will Levis to Practice Squad, Cut Bailey Zappe

The New York Jets have signed quarterback Will Levis to their practice squad, with the team releasing Bailey Zappe from the practice squad as a corresponding move. The signing brings Levis, a 2023 second-round pick, back into an NFL organization.

Levis spent his rookie season with the Tennessee Titans in 2023, starting nine games. During that season, he threw for 1,808 yards, with eight touchdowns and four interceptions. His career took a more challenging turn in the subsequent year, where the Titans struggled to a 2-10 record in his 12 starts, marked by 13 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. The Titans eventually benched him and later replaced him with first-round pick Cam Ward in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Levis underwent shoulder surgery and did not play in any games last season. The Titans waived him in August as part of their roster cuts.

Bailey Zappe, who was released by the Jets, had joined the team's practice squad earlier. He previously played for the New England Patriots.
