Reality television personality Jessika Power has announced plans to take legal action after a video circulated online purporting to show her smoking from a glass pipe. Power, who gained fame on Married at First Sight Australia, insists the footage is fabricated and potentially created using artificial intelligence.
Power, 33, told the Daily Mail that she is exploring her legal options and has offered to undergo a drug test to demonstrate the video's falsity. She stated her willingness to take multiple drug tests, asserting that she knows what substances are or are not in her system. Power explained that her stance against drug use is informed by personal experience, as addiction has affected her family through her mother.
The 12-second clip, shared by a media company called Outlaw Media, depicts a woman in profile appearing to inhale from a glass pipe. Outlaw Media claimed that witnesses believed the substance consumed was methamphetamine. However, social media users have expressed skepticism about the video's authenticity, with some questioning if it actually features Power.
Power commented on her Instagram page, calling the video clearly fake and stating it does not resemble her. She expressed disappointment, claiming to know the video's creator and possess evidence against them. Power suggested the clip could be AI-generated, noting it doesn't look real and doesn't appear to be her.
This situation emerges after Power recently disclosed a severe domestic violence incident that resulted in her hospitalization and fears for her life. She described enduring significant abuse, which left her with physical scars and spinal nerve damage. Power stated that she decided to speak out to reclaim her power and overcome the fear and shame associated with the experience.
Power first gained national attention on season six of Married At First Sight in 2019. She has since appeared on various reality shows, including Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins and Big Brother VIP. Her upcoming role is as an ambassador for SXHIBITION, an adult lifestyle expo scheduled for September 2026 in Melbourne.
