Jessie James Decker shared a humorous interaction with her husband, former NFL player Eric Decker, on Instagram after she texted him about the possibility of having a fifth child. The singer posted a Reel on Sunday showing Eric kayaking away from her as she pleaded for him to return, a playful response to her inquiry.
"Texted my husband asking to have another baby," Jessie wrote atop the video. She captioned the clip, "I guess that’s a maybe? 🙃🤣." Fans in the comments section interpreted his reaction with amusement, with one user writing, "Girl he said let me get away from you! Lol."
Eric Decker, 39, has previously expressed a reluctance for further children, notably undergoing a vasectomy in 2024 after years of refusal. The procedure followed the birth of their fourth child. Jessie, 38, had been vocal about her desire for her husband to get the surgery since 2021. In 2023, she told Us Weekly that Eric was hesitant because he feared it would impact his "manhood."
"He won’t. He just won’t do it," Jessie stated at the time, adding that she continued to encourage him to make an appointment. Seven months later, the couple, married since 2012, announced Jessie was pregnant with their fourth child.
They welcomed their son Denver in February 2024. He joins older siblings Vivianne, 12, Eric Jr., 10, and Forrest, 8. Prior to Denver's birth, Jessie had indicated she was content with their family size. "[That’s] not even a question," she told Us Weekly in September, stating she was "good with four."
