Jessica Simpson marked her 46th birthday on July 10 by posting an Instagram selfie of herself in a polka-dot bikini. The singer captioned the image, “💫46💫 July 10/26.”
Simpson accessorized her swimwear with a chunky gold bracelet, layered turquoise necklaces, and wire-rimmed sunglasses. The post has garnered significant attention, accumulating nearly 21,500 likes in under 12 hours, though comments were disabled.
This is not the first time Simpson has shared swimwear photos recently. Last month, she posted several images to promote her collaboration with Walmart, showcasing a floral zebra-print maillot and a printed bikini layered with a crocheted cover-up. She described these posts with the caption, “Summertime vibes.”
Earlier in the year, Simpson addressed rumors about her beauty routine, particularly claims that she once spent $1,000 a week on tanning. She told Elle that the story likely stemmed from her time playing Daisy Duke in “The Dukes of Hazzard,” a four-month shoot where she spent much of her time in revealing clothing.
“I had to be tan and that was a four-month shoot where I was damn near naked the whole time,” Simpson recalled. “The only way to be confident then when shooting was to spray it, and do body makeup. But I also didn’t want it to be too orange, so I had to have a base tan.” She added that she has never been overly concerned about sun exposure and wrinkles, stating, “It just happens and is a part of life.”
