Meghan Markle's former close friend and stylist, Jessica Mulroney, has launched a new lifestyle brand and private members' club called The Haus of Her. The venture, co-founded with businesswoman Val Bryden, is aimed at "women in the middle of a defining transition." The club is now accepting membership requests and plans to host events, including a "Make Your Own Scent" workshop on September 15 in Toronto. Monthly membership, priced at 39 Canadian dollars (approximately £20), includes a subscription box designed to "invigorate, inspire, or relax."

The launch of The Haus of Her comes more than six years after Mulroney and Markle experienced a public rift. Mulroney, a Canadian fashion stylist and marketing consultant, first met Markle in 2011 while Markle was filming the TV show Suits in Toronto. Their once-close relationship reportedly fractured in 2020 following a public dispute Mulroney had with blogger Sasha Exeter during the height of the Black Lives Matter movement.

Mulroney's new brand shares thematic similarities with Markle's own lifestyle venture, American Riviera Orchard (formerly branded as "As Ever"), which launched in 2024. Markle's brand offers products inspired by her interest in cooking, entertaining, and hosting.

Historically, Mulroney was seen as Markle's closest confidante and a staunch supporter. She played a significant role in Markle's personal life, including offering support when Markle began dating Prince Harry. Mulroney's twin sons served as page boys at the royal wedding, and her daughter was a flower girl alongside Princess Charlotte.

The fallout in 2020 led to Mulroney facing consequences, including being dropped by several television networks. Her husband, Ben Mulroney, recently described the situation on a podcast, alleging that Exeter had "taken advantage of the George Floyd moment" and that his wife had been "cancelled" based on a "on a complete fiction." He claimed that his wife had been antagonized and threatened Exeter in response.

Despite the strained relationship, sources have indicated that while Markle and Mulroney no longer maintain the close bond they once shared, Markle has expressed concern for her former friend. Mulroney has since focused on rebuilding her brand, partnering with retailers such as Aritzia, Revolve, and Fwrd. She has also teased a potential return for her reality show I Do, Redo.
