Jessica Alba, the 45-year-old actress and entrepreneur, recently shared a matching tattoo experience with her daughter, Honor Marie Warren, just weeks after Honor's 18th birthday. The pair enlisted renowned fine-line tattoo artist Daniel 'Winterstone' Winter to create matching radiant eye designs on their left wrists.
Winter, whose celebrity clients include Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus, shared the moment on Instagram on July 5, calling it "a way to show love with an unforgettable experience!" He added, "A memory they will share forever!" Eye tattoos are often interpreted as symbols of protection, awareness, guidance, and intuition.
Honor, an aspiring filmmaker, posted a photo of herself and her mother holding hands with the caption "Me x Mama ♾️♾️♾️" sometime before July 1, indicating the tattoos were a recent, shared memory. This past summer, Honor also made her directorial debut with a 16-minute short film titled Unsaid, which premiered on Vimeo on July 2.
Alba expressed pride in her eldest daughter's transition into adulthood, writing on Honor's June 7 birthday, "As you step into adulthood, part of me wants to hold you close forever and keep you safe. But an even bigger part wants to watch you fly." She described Honor as "sweet, brilliant, a shining light, kind, compassionate, considerate, feisty, witty, wildly intelligent, endlessly curious, resilient, funny, fiercely strong-willed and self-assured."
This fall, Honor is set to begin her college education at Yale University, her father Cash Warren's alma mater, where she will study English and film. She graduated from Crossroads School on May 28. It was Honor who originally inspired Alba to co-found The Honest Company in 2011, a business that has since grown into a global enterprise.
Alba and Cash Warren, who divorced on February 12 after 16 years of marriage, also have two younger children: daughter Haven, 15, and son Hayes, 8. Professionally, Alba is slated to appear in Netflix's reimagining of "13 Going on 30" and is involved in several upcoming film projects, including "The Mark" and "Incógnito."
